The EMPI Engine Battle World Cup Edition finals will be conducted and the winning engine builder will collect a $20,000 check! Q: What is the cost to attend the EMPI Open House and enter the car show?
A: Admission to the EMPI Open House and car show is free. The car show is open to all air-cooled Volkswagen and Porsche vehicles.
Q: Can I bring my pet to the EMPI Open House?
A: Unfortunately, pets are not permitted on property. We kindly ask that you leave your four-legged friends at home.
Q: I have an air-cooled VW or Porsche. How early can I line up to enter the Open House?
A: To help us be respectful of our neighbors, vehicle lineups will not be permitted before 7:00 AM. Anaheim Police Department will be on-site to assist with safely and efficiently directing vehicles into the event.
Q: Will food be available at the Open House?
A: Yes! A variety of food trucks will be on-site throughout the event, offering food and beverages available for purchase.
Q: Can I save parking spots for friends?
A: No. To help ensure a smooth and efficient parking process, vehicles must arrive together if they wish to park together. Parking spot saving will not be permitted.
Q: I am coming with my car club do we need anything specific?
A: Yes, all registered car clubs will require specific parking passes and must arrive together.
Q: I don’t have an air-cooled VW or Porsche, is parking available?
A: Yes! Non-air-cooled VW or Porsche parking will be available at designated off-site locations. Please refer to the event parking map for details.
Q: Will facility tours be offered?
A: Yes! Guided facility tours will be available from 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM.
Q: What time does the event end?
A: The EMPI 70th Anniversary Open House will conclude at 2:00 PM.

The 33rd Annual Terryville Bug-A-Fair will be held on Father's Day Sunday June 21,2026 at the Terryville Lions Fairgrounds 171 Town Hill Rd. Terryville CT 06786 from 9am to 3:30pm.

Last year was our biggest show yet with 400 show cars, 80+ swap meet vendors, 1800 spectators, and 55 campers Saturday night. Another new attendance record!

Car registration opens at 9am. The show gate and registration close at 12 noon and the judging begins. Awards will be handed out at 3:30pm. The show also has a huge swap meet with vendors selling new and used VW parts, toys, t-shirts, and automobilia. If you're looking for that special hard to find part or need to unload some of your extra VW stuff this is the place to be at!

There are 40 show classes with 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place awards for both air-cooled and water-cooled VWs plus 21 special awards and best of show trophies for AIR-COOLED STOCK, AIR-COOLED CUSTOM, and WATER-COOLED

Cars are judged using a point system based on fit and condition of exterior, interior, chassis/pan, engine, trunk area and optional display. Please have your hoods and deck lids open at judging time. Convertibles, please have your tops in closed position.

Breakfast and lunch will be available for purchase on Sunday provided by the Terryville Lions. All proceeds go to the Terryville Lions Club.

There's also plenty of camping space available Saturday night for those who want to get an early start to the weekend. Camping is $20 per vehicle. The Lions will come by in the evening to collect the fee. Please bring your own food and beverages. Gate for camping will not open till 2pm Saturday afternoon so please do not come before 2pm! We appreciate your cooperation.

* All show cars must enter show under its own power. No car will be allowed in gate under tow, on a flatbed truck, or trailer. NO EXCEPTIONS!

* No Trailers will be Allowed in the show car entrance. Please unload your vehicle in the spectator parking area and drive it to the show gate. This is for your safety and others. We also need all the extra space for the shows continued growth. Thank you!

* Saturday early swap meet set up is available for vendors who want to set up the night before, but they must pre-register with Bill Arute (860) 395-9964 or bill@ctvwa.org. Cost for early set up is $100 for a single space. If your camping in the swap meet area $20. If you need Electrical hook up $15 more. No vendor will be allowed into the vending area after 9pm Saturday night. NO EXCEPTIONS!

KMPH Fox 26 TV Fresno will broadcast this 30 minute program starting at 1:30 pm on Sunday, June 21 Father's Day. This Madera Spring Fling #31 broadcast follows the Road America Wisconsin Indy Car Race on the Fox network.

Niagara GermanAire Car Show & Social

Picking up where the long running June Jitterbug left off, the 5th Annual Niagara GermanAire Car Show is a fun 2 day event in scenic Niagara Falls, Canada.

Saturday June 27th will feature a VW Cruise with a choice of 1 of 2 routes. One runs through wine country and along the Niagara Parkway past Niagara Falls. The other runs through the countryside with a stop for ice cream. Each cruise lasts about 2.5 hours including stops. Saturday afternoon everyone meets up at Firemen’s Park at 1pm with a full tank of gas for a 2pm departure. Last year we had over 150 VWs cruise with us.

Saturday night, meet and swap stories with fellow VW enthusiasts at the local campground (www.campark.com) or one of the 2 host hotels (info on the website), and take in the sights and attractions of Clifton Hill.

Sunday June 28th is the main event at Firemen’s Park. Gates open at 7am for vendors and 8am for show participants. There will be a huge swap meet, new parts vendor’s midway, arts and crafts vendors, food trucks, bouncy castle, DJ, and of course the car show featuring air and water cooled VWs looking to win a Top 30 award or one of 3 Best of Show awards, as well as a couple of special awards. Best of Show winners get their VWs on next year’s shirt design! Awards will be handed out at 2:15pm, with the show closing around 3pm. This year we are expecting over 300 VWs to participate in the show, and over 1500 spectators! Dan from VW Trends will be on-site looking for feature cars and covering the event for the magazine. It’s an event you won’t want to miss!

Held on the tree shaded lawns of the Contra Costa Fairgrounds Bug Bash features a peoples choice show with awards for Top 10, swap meet, vendors and raffle. Monday night on July 6, 2026 the Connecticut Volkswagen Association will be attending the Doo Wop Cruisers weekly car cruise from 5pm till dark for their "VW NIGHT" in the Lowe's parking lot behind Chipolte Mexican Grill at 1094 North Colony Rd. Wallingford CT 06492.

This event is open to all Volkswagen and German cars. Cruise is contingent on weather so please check our Facebook page the day of event.
